A long-standing market leader
AriensCo understands the value of a long-term vision and has built a powerful reputation as a long-standing and highly respected market leader. It’s also a business that weaves progress and innovation into its products and operations and understands the importance of data.
The multiple sources from which AriensCo was acquiring all this data, however, were creating a complex and increasingly unmanageable data ecosystem. The business had several ETL tools for different platforms, which left gaps in the system and affected business visibility.
APPROACH
Meeting a mix of requirements
AriensCo realized that a universal integration tool, which would enable it to build a data hub feeding into its multiple systems, would resolve many of its issues.
The business had a mix of requirements, including Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) connections, numerous different servers and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) systems and various other programs and staging files – as well as a custom Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) platform that was created and compiled externally.
AriensCo assessed other solutions but immediately saw how Qlik Talend had the flexibility and breadth of capabilities it needed.

Just a year after implementation, Qlik Talend is enabling AriensCo’s relatively lean data team to achieve more than competitors many times its size. Qlik Talend’s comprehensive capabilities have allowed the business to streamline its integration software portfolio by 83%, while key factors such as system reliability and development times have also seen substantial improvements.
AriensCo’s sales and customer service functions are benefiting from faster, more accurate EDI, while financial reporting, supply chain and inventory are also significantly accelerated.
