As CEO of Qlik, I have never been more excited about the market, our strategic vision, and the value we bring customers all around the world. We have always been focused on looking forward and providing the most comprehensive and trusted solutions to our customers. Now, with Talend's cloud data integration and data quality solutions, we can offer even more. Our acquisition of Talend with our continuing commitment to innovation and R&D, positions Qlik as a leader in data integration, data quality and analytics.

Our industry has an incredible opportunity to be essential and game changing. However, when CIOs look around, they are faced with choices that, frankly, are lacking:

  • Multiple disparate point products that come with big headaches (and are unproven)

  • Incomplete legacy products that don’t meet current needs (or those you’ll have in the future)

  • Hyperscalers that result in vendor lock-in (after all, that’s the model)

Today, I am proud to announce a new approach: a broad set of best-in-class solutions that are modern, proven, trusted, and continue to remain open and cloud agnostic. We work with virtually any data source, target, architecture or methodology, and ensure customers always have the data they need, whenever they need it (and from any tool of choice.) In short: with Qlik and Talend coming together, customers will be able to eliminate technical debt and cost while increasing enterprise confidence that trusted data is available for decision making when it matters most.

Added to this, both Qlik and Talend have a rich history. We are honored to have earned our position as a leading solution provider in multiple market categories and remain committed to supporting our customers' existing investments. For seven years in a row, Gartner positioned Talend as a leader in its Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools, and a leader in its Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Solutions for five consecutive years. It has positioned Qlik as a leader in its Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms for 13 consecutive years. Additionally, Qlik has been named a leader in the IDC MarketScape: U.S. Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms 2022 Vendor Assessment.

In my previous life as a CIO, I looked to build solutions with a few trusted partners, fully investing in the outcomes we were driving. This is the company we have built at Qlik. Today, we’re looking to the future together with our world-wide partner ecosystem, delivering best-in-class Data Integration, Data Quality, Analytics, AI and machine learning solutions.

I’m so excited to welcome the Talend team to Qlik and I can’t wait to show you what is to come.
