This March, we honored Women’s History Month (WHM) with events and resources led by our Women in Technology (WIT) Employee Resource Group (ERG) under the theme: “Actions for Women in the Age of AI.” This theme highlights the role of women driving leadership, innovation, and action in shaping the future of technology as we work towards gender equity.
This Women’s History Month, our Qlik community engaged in various activities:
Conversation with Nina Schick, AI Council Member
We were excited to kick off the celebrations with a conversation featuring Nina Schick, a member of our AI Council, as she spoke to us about what the future of AI means for women. Her insights empowered our employees to take charge of their journey with AI personally and professionally, and emphasized the importance of including women in defining AI and technological advancements.
"Women’s perspectives need to be represented, otherwise that’s not going to be reflected in the models and the systems that are going to define society.”
Office Celebrations
In more than 10 of our offices across the globe, employees came together to enjoy a delicious meal from a Woman-owned business. During this gathering, there were raffles, donation drives, and over $600 raised to support various global causes in support of women. Our offices in India, Brazil, Singapore, Sydney, and France took this opportunity to play a fun game of trivia, recognize internal employees/accomplishments, and discuss self-care, work/life balance, and more.
Women’s History Month Virtual Trivia Event
The competition was fierce, the energy was electric, and the facts were noteworthy as participants from all over tuned in to test their knowledge of women’s contribution throughout history!
Recognizing Women Who Inspire Us
As part of our “We Succeed Together” and “We Make an Impact” core values, our employees recognized colleagues who inspired them here at Qlik. With over 100+ submissions, we’re honored to work alongside inspirational women.
The Women in Technology ERG is delighted with the support during this month and look forward to continuing the conversation as we work to support the future of AI for women.
